Gastown, Vancouver's oldest neighbourhood, is characterized by its late-nineteenth and early-twentieth-century brick architecture, cobblestone streets, and the landmark Gastown Steam Clock. The housing stock is composed exclusively of multi-unit residential properties, split between modern mid-rise condominium developments and converted heritage lofts in former warehouses and hotels, such as the Koret Lofts, the Paris Block, and the Terminus.
